Lily Yeh in Ithaca
As part of our 40th Anniversary events, the internationally celebrated artist Lily Yeh will be in Ithaca from October 23-25. She will speak at our community celebration at GIAC on Sunday, October 23. She will also give a talk at the Johnson Museum of Art on the Cornell University campus, entitled "Art, Transformation and Social Change," on Monday, October 24, from 5:15 - 6:15 pm in the new auditorium. Both of these events are free and open to the public.
Ms. Yeh will also give a workshop for local area art teachers in grades k-12 on Monday, October 24 from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm in the Founder's Room in Anabel Taylor Hall at Cornell University. Six credit hours are available to teachers. This workshop has a few spots open for local area artists. Registration is limited to 50 participants total, and must be done through TST BOCES. In additions to these events, Ms. Yeh will be meeting with Cornell students during her visit, and give a talk to area middle and high school students at Ithaca High School's Kulp auditorium on Tuesday, October 25.
