Wood's Earth and the Youth Farm Project Merge
The Youth Farm Project and Wood's Earth are excited to announce their merger. In June of 2016, the farm-to-school programs and the Fresh Snack Program of Wood's Earth joined the Youth Farm Project. Farm-to-School K-12 curriculum, school food production, and the Youth Farm Project's intensive Summer Program are now centralized on the 10-acre Youth Farm Project site in Danby, NY.
Combined programming will lead to greater involvement of local teens in the school food movement and new opportunities for K-12 curricular integration. We are consolidating resources to expand food distribution throughout the community and in schools.
The merged organization has kept the name of the Youth Farm Project and is a project of the Center for Transformative Action.
Come visit us on the Youth Farm Project, Community Work Days open to all, Sat. 10 am-1 pm.
